Management

Wally DiStefano – President

Wally’s job is a numbers game. As chief estimator at Harrison and Burrowes, it’s a game he plays very well. For the past 30 years, he has been bringing home winning bids and creating a significant backlog of work. Wally has been instrumental in growing the business and managing the internal day-to-day operations at the company.

He credits his estimating skills to his beginnings. Fresh out of college, Wally worked for a survey company where he learned the importance of analyzing every angle, nook and cranny. In 1980, he co-founded Harrison and Burrowes with his brother Jeffrey, transferring his analytical skills into strategizing and estimating work. Over the years, he has developed submitting estimates into a science, and made finding creative solutions his hallmark. Today, he continues to push H&B forward by negotiating contracts, and overseeing the financial and engineering departments.

An 11-year member of the Associated General Contractors of New York State, Wally is a member of the Specification Planning Board Committee and former Region I Chairman. He holds a BA in civil engineering and economics from Clarkson College of Technology.

When he is isn’t going after jobs, Wally can be found on the golf course, with his family or at his vacation property in Arizona.
